CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN WITH TOMATO SAUCE

INGREDIENTS

  • Water - 1-2 cups
  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Sliced Onion -2
  • Bay leaf - 3
  • Cloves - 3
  • Salt - to taste

For Sauce

  • Oil
  • Onion (Cut small) - 1 or 2
  • Green Chilli - 2 (Chopped)
  • Ginger (chopped) - 2
  • Tomato sauce -100 gm/1 cup

For Batter

  • Cornflour - 1 cup
  • maida - 2 -3 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/2 or 3/4 cup
  • Egg - 3/4 or 1
  • Soda pwd - 1 pinch
  • Pepper pwd

METHOD

  1. Boil 1kg (cut) chicken with water, onion, bay leaf, cloves, salt. Cook it.
  2. For sauce : Saute onion, green chillies, ginger in oil. Add tomato saudce. After it boils and thickens off it. If needed add pepper pwd and spring onions.
  3. Batter : Mix cornflour, maida, salt, chilli pwd, milk and egg to mke a batter. Add a pinch of soda and little pepper pwd.
  4. Remove the chicken except other ingredients from water.
  5. Dip the chicken in batter and deep fry.
  6. Serve hot with the sauce.
