MUTTON ROAST

INGREDIENTS

  • Mutton - 1 kg
  • Potatoes - 250 gm
  • Onion sliced - 1 big
  • Tomato chopped- 1 big
  • Red cilies - 4
  • Pepper - 1/2 teapoon
  • Cardamoms - 4
  • Cloves - 4
  • Cinnamon - 1 piece
  • Ginger - 1 large piece
  • Garlic - 10 pods
  • Vinegar - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - as required
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 1 cup

METHOD

  1. Clean mutton.
  2. Grind ginge, garlic. pepper and salt.
  3. Mix with vinegar and apply to mutton. Prick mutton well.
  4. Heat oil in cooker. Pour oil and fry the onions well. Add cinnamon, red chillies, cardamoms and cloves.
  5. When onion becom brown, add tomatoes and mutton nd fry till brown.
  6. Add 1 cup water.
  7. Close cooker and cook.
  8. After its cooked, open lid and dry the water in the roast byplacing on stove.
