Jelly Delight

Amul Fresh Cream is the only available fresh cream brand here I guess, but it is good enough. Anyways, I bought 4 packs of 200ml priced at Rs. 15.00 per pack. You might be thinking why I bought 4 packs instead of buying a single 1 liter pack. You should finish 1 pack within 4 days of opening it. If you do not find a use to it, or do not get time to make use of it, the whole pack will be lost. In a single use, say for a dessert, you will need only 5-6 tbsp. If you buy smaller packs, you can either use it fully or keep the balance to be poured into your channa masala, rajma curry, chicken curry or so.

On to the recipe. I have taken a photo in my digital, will upload it soon.

Ingredients
1. Biriyani Rice - 1/4 cup
2. Milk - 1/2 cup
3. Sugar - 6tbsp
4. Any red jelly (raspberry or strawberry) - 1 packet
5. Fresh cream - 1/2 cup

METHOD

-> Wash and Soak the rice for half an hour in water.
-> In the meanwhile, prepare the jelly as per the instructions on the packet. I used a strawberry jelly. Allow the jelly to be semi-set.
-> Now, boil 1/2 cup milk and add the rice to this. cook on low fire till well cooked. Add sugar and mash well.
-> Whip the fresh cream. Add in the jelly and the rice. Whip again. Pour into a pudding bowl. Set in refrigerator.
-> Serve topped wih fruits like strawberry, cherries or bananas.
