This is an Ifthar Snack in the Kozhikode area of Kerala. The snack is really very tasty and your family will surely love it for tea. I just prepared the dish day before yesterday for ifthar, I have my family asking for it everyday.
Ingredients
-> Chicken - 1/2 cup-minced
-> Turmeric powder -1/2tsp
-> Oil - 2tbsp
-> Onion - 4
-> Green Chilli chopped - 10
-> Chopped ginger - 1 piece
-> Garlic - 8 cloves
-> Coriander leaf - 1 tbsp
-> Curry leaf
-> Pudina - 1tsp
-> Maida - 1 cup
-> Water -
- Egg - 5
-> Sugar -
-> Elaichi powder - a pinch
METHOD

METHOD
- Cook chicken in salt and turmeric. Allow it to cool and mince it.
- Saute onion, green chilli, ginger, garlic and the leaves in oil til cooked.
- After it is done, add the chicken,cook and keep aside.
- Make a dough with Maida, water and little salt.
- Make the dough into small balls and roll into puri sized rotis.
- After rolling 1 puri, place a layer of the mix onto the central area of the puri and flatten.
- Place the second puri over it and close the edges in the circular manner itself.Roll up the edge.
- similiarly create all the Pathiris.
- Now, deep fry the pathris in oil.
- mix together egg, elaichi powder and sugar.
- Dip the fried pathris in the egg mix and toast it on a tava with little oil.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
