Chicken steak - Tried and Tasted





Steak Marinade 

1/2 tbsp red chilli flakes  + 1/2 tbsp black pepper + 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder + 1 tbsp soya sauce + 2 tbsp olive oil +1 tbsp sugar+ ginger garlic paste + mixed herbs + parsley  . Add half lemon and salt to taste. 
Mix well. Cut the chicken steak piece in half ( butterfly cut). This will give a thin layer to your chicken and cooks easily. 
Wrap in cellophane sheet and beat lightly. Draw line cuts to the piece and apply the marinade. Keep aside for an hour. 
Fry in a pan using butter or olive oil in low flame. Turn in about 4 - 5 mins. Cook both sides. 

Steak sauce 
Take butter in a pan. 
Add about half an onion finely chopped. 
Saute till it becomes  transparent. 
Add chopped garlic . Saute. 
Add 1 tbsp red chilli flakes + 1/2 tbsp black pepper powder + 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder + mixed herbs. Saute 
Add 2 tbsp soya sauce + 2 tbsp tomato sauce + 1 cup chicken stock. Cook well
Add a mix of corn flour + water. 
Add chopped spring onion. 
Steak sauce is done. 
For chicken stock, put chicken bone pieces in 1 cup water with little salt and pepper. Remove the chicken and use the water. 

Mashed potato
Boil and mash 2 potatoes. Mash to form a paste. Add 1/2 cup milk and stir well. Add some garlic chopped + parsley + salt + mixed herbs+ pepper. Add in 3 tbsp butter and cook till butter melts. 

Stir fry veg
In 2 tbsp oil add spring onion + parsley + carrot julians+ capsicum + salt + black pepper + coriander leaf. Stir fry. 

Rice 

Melt 2 tbsp  butter. 
Add garlic chopped. Saute
Add spring onion without greens. Saute
Add in spring onion greens + sweet corn + mixed herbs + coriander leaf + parsley . Add in 2 cups of boiled basmati rice . Mix well.
