CHANNA MASALA

INGREDIENTS

* Whole white gram - 250 gm
* Dry mango powder - 1 tbsp
* Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
* Coriander-cumin powder - 2 tsp
* Garam masala - 4 tsp
* Ginger - 2 inch piece
* Green chillies - 4
* Vanaspati - 200gm
* Salt - to taste
* Water - 375 ml (2 1/2 cups)

METHOD

1) Soak gram overnight.
2) Cook Gram in cooker.
3) Strain it and put in a pan.
4) Mix all masalas and salt with gram.
5) Sprinkle ginger and whole chillies.
6) Heat vanaspati separately and when it smokes, pour it evenly over the gram.
7) Simmer for 10 min.
8) Add water required.
