A wonderful recipe when you have a little time for cooking and wanna make a bit diffrent recipe with fish. Spicy and tangy and a must try.
INGREDIENTS
* Fish
* Bay leaves - 2
* Oil - 4 tbsp
* Green chillies - 4 nos
* Coconut milk - 1 cup
* Sugar - 1/2 tsp
* Garam masala - 1 tsp
* Salt - as required
* Melted butter - (optional) 1 1/2 tsp
For the blended mixture:
* Red chilli - 5
* Turmeric powder - 5 tsp
* Fennel seeds - 2 tsp
* Cumin seeds - 3 tsp
* Ginger - 3 cm peice
* Grated Coconut - 3 tbsp
* Tamarind - 1 lemon sized
METHOD
1) Heat oil in a pan.
2) Add bay leaves, slit green chillies and blended mixture.
3) Fry till the oil begins to separate (This is take around 10-12 minutes)
4) Add the fish pieces along with sugar and salt.
5) Add little water and simmer it for a while.
6) Just before taking it off the fire, add the coconut milk, garam masala and bring to a boil.
Optional: Add melted butter to enhance the taste
