Cauliflower Manchurian

INGREDIENTS

* Cauliflower - 16 florets
* Ajinimotto - a pinch
* Oil - to deep fry
* Salt - to taste
For batter
* Refined Flour - 1/2 cup
* Cornflour - 1/4 cup
* Chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
* Salt - to taste
* Water - little
For Sauce
* Finely chopped spring Onion
* Finely chopped garlic - 1 tsp
* Finely chopped ginger - 1 tsp
* Finely chopped green chilli - 1 tbsp
* White pepper - 1/4 tsp
* Sugar - 1/4 tsp
* Ajinomotto - a pinch
* Soya Sauce - 2 tbsp
* Veg stock/ water - 1 cup
* Corn flour mixed with half cup water - 1 tbsp
* Oil - 2tbsp
* Salt

METHOD

1) Wash cauliflower florets. Sprinkle a little salt and ajinomotto and set aside for 5 mins.
2) Combine all the ingrdients mentioned under batter.Beat well and prepare a thick batter.
3) Heat oil in a frying pan.
4) Dip florets one by one in the frying pan and deep fry till golden brown.
5) Strain and keep aside
6) Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Add spring onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies. Fry for /12 a min.
7) Add stock/water, pepper, soya sauce, sugar, ajnomotto and salt. Simmer uncovered for 1 min. Add the cornflour mixed with water and stir continuously so that the sauce becomes thick.
8) Garnish with spring onion leaves.
