INGREDIENTS
- Ghee or Oil - 3-4 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1
- Tomato (finely chopped) -1
- Green Chilli (slit) - 1
- Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
- Dhania - 1/2 tsp
- Dried mango powder - 1/8 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
METHOD
- Heat oil or ghee. Reduce heat and add jeera. When it turns golden, add onions.
- Cook till onions turn brown. DO not cook the onions. Brown them, stirring continuously.
- Add tomatoes. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
- Add dhania powder, dried mango powder and garam masala. Cook 1/2 minute.
- Remove from fire. Add the green chillies and red chilli powder. Mix well
- Pour over the hot dal. Mix gently
