Tomato Onion Baghar

INGREDIENTS


  • Ghee or Oil - 3-4 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion (finely chopped) - 1
  • Tomato (finely chopped) -1
  • Green Chilli (slit) - 1
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Dhania - 1/2 tsp
  • Dried mango powder - 1/8 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

METHOD

  1. Heat oil or ghee. Reduce heat and add jeera. When it turns golden, add onions.
  2. Cook till onions turn brown. DO not cook the onions. Brown them, stirring continuously.
  3. Add tomatoes. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  4. Add dhania powder, dried mango powder and garam masala. Cook 1/2 minute.
  5. Remove from fire. Add the green chillies and red chilli powder. Mix well
  6. Pour over the hot dal. Mix gently
