Arhar With Palak

INGREDIENTS

  • Chopped pinach - 3 cups
  • Arhar dal or tuvar ki dal - 1 cup
  • Garlic (finely chopped) - 1
  • Ginger(finely chopped) 1/2" piece
  • Green Chilli (finely chopped) - 1
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Tomato Onion Baghar

METHOD

  1. Pick, clean and wash dal.
  2. Wash chopped spinach in plenty of water.
  3. Mix dal, spinach, ginger, garlic, ginger, green chilli, haldi salt and oil.
  4. Add 3 cups water to the dal.
  5. Pressure cook dal to give one whistle and then keep on low flame for 6-7 minutes. Remove from fire.
  6. Prepare Tomato Onion Baghar and pour over the hot dal. Mix gently and serve hot.
