INGREDIENTS
- Dhuli moong dal(split green beans) - 1 cup
- Wadi - 1
- Tomato (cut into big pieces) - 1
- Ginger (grated) - 1" piece
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
- Jeera Dhania Baghar
METHOD
- Fry the Wadi in oil, on low flame, turning sides till it turns golden brown. Cool and break it into 3-4 pieces.
- Pick, clean and wash dal.
- Add 3 1/2 cups water, salt, turmeric powder, ginger, tomato, fried wadi and the left over oil in which the wadi was fried.
- Pressure cook to give one whistle. Remove from fire immediately.
- Prepare dhania-jeera bhagar and pou over the hot cooked dal. Mix gently and serve hot.
